Bright,clean colour pictorial illustrated front endpapers with contempraneous pencilled price 3/6 to top,left-hane corner of front pastedown along with bookseller adhesive label/sticker to lower,right-hand corner of same,rear endpapers clean too.Front board with a couple of production wrinkles and some superficial age acquired scoring/indents; rear board with superfluous handwritten red ink lasso drawn to gollywog illustration and a set of parallel red ink lines to denote speed to the aeroplane the golly is sitting in.Top+fore-edges lightly aged; contents remarkably bright,crisp and clean with no foxing/spotting and no reading creases to any pages' corner tips - possibly unread,other than my own collation.UK.slim,upright,narrow,Folio HB,no dw/dj,as issued(?),1st edn,30pp [unpaginated] includes 9 assorted short stories all colour illustrated to every page.First story Gollywog's Dream,last story Golly's Party. Visually the exterior appearance is acceptable, and particularly internally,the book is also in an exceptional condition/state of preservation and presentation for a book of it’s age and nature, i.e. a child's ephemeral book.It is only the exterior faults described that prevents a better grading.Despite them,it is still an acceptable copy for its cleanliness and brightness internally.
